Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Who is invited to SIRVA University 2012 and what is the cost?
A: The primary purpose of SIRVA University is to offer an educational opportunity for mobility professionals. We have a blend of clients and non-clients who attend SIRVA U for the educational benefits. The focus is on helping companies improve their mobility programs cost and relocation experience.
We do not share the list of participants or companies externally and you will be asked when registering if you would like your contact information on the networking list distributed to SIRVA U attendees.
SIRVA covers all onsite expenses and only requires attendees to pay for their flights to and from the event. Each attendee may also bring one spouse or guest (additional information available when registering your guest).
Q: Where can I find the most current information on SIRVA University?
A: All of our event updates will be posted on the SIRVA University Web site: http://www.sirvauniversity.com
Q: Will CRP, GMS or ISM CEH credits be given for attending SIRVA University?
A: Yes, they will. We will be updating the agenda in 2012 to display the specific credits available for each course.
Q: The registration form requires attendees to select their breakout sessions. If I want to change my selection at a later time, can I do this?
A: Yes. As you register, we ask you to please choose the session(s) you'll most likely attend. However, you can change your mind at any time.
Q: The registration form asks attendees for their flight information. What if I am still searching for flights? What airports are best to fly into?
A: If you would like to register, but have not booked your flight yet, please do your best to estimate the day of your arrival and departure (so we can secure a hotel room). If you would like ground transportation, please leave a “TBD” where the registrations site asks for your flight information. Once your flight is booked, please log back into the registration site and replace the “TBD” with your flight information.
SIRVA will provide ground transportation for these four airports, but we recommend flying into the closest airport, John Wayne International (SNA).
John Wayne Airport (SNA), Orange County, CA (25 minutes/23 miles)
Long Beach Airport (LGB), Long Beach, CA (45 minutes/44 miles)
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Los Angeles, CA (60-120 minutes/63 miles)
San Diego International Airport (SAN), San Diego, CA (90-120 minutes/80 miles)
